What does an Impression Pad do?+
It captures anything written or drawn on its surface and sends the impression to a compatible receiving device, allowing the performer to know the information without seeing the original writing.
Which style should I choose?+
Choose by performance context. MemoPad is the most discreet option for close-up work. Clipboard is designed for collecting several spectators’ thoughts. WhiteBoard provides a larger, highly visible writing surface. Chalkboard adds a theatrical real-chalk appearance. Wooden Board combines a premium black-walnut form with a dedicated second board for an integrated peek.
How do I receive the writing?+
The impression can be viewed through a compatible phone, watch or dedicated PITATA receiver. Available receiving options vary by device and setup.
Does it require an internet connection?+
Core impression functions are designed for direct performance use and do not rely on a public internet connection. Connection requirements may vary for specific ecosystem features.
Can it connect with other PITATA products?+
Yes. Compatible Impression Pads can work through the PITATA ecosystem, allowing captured information to be saved, transferred or used with other supported reveal devices.
Is it suitable for professional performance?+
The series is designed for real-world close-up, parlor and stage use. Always check the specifications, range and battery requirements of your chosen model before performing.
How long does the battery last?+
Smart MemoPad provides up to 10 hours of powered-on standby after a 2-hour wireless charge; its pen provides up to 15 hours after a 1.5-hour charge. Smart WhiteBoard runs for more than 12 hours, with up to 15 hours from the marker. Smart Clipboard runs for more than 10 hours. Smart Chalkboard offers up to two weeks of always-on standby, and its chalk holder requires no charging. PITATA does not currently publish a runtime for Wooden Board.
What is the reliable receiving range?+
PITATA publishes up to 10 meters for Smart MemoPad and Smart Clipboard, and more than 12 meters for Smart WhiteBoard. Numerical ranges are not currently published for Smart Chalkboard or Wooden Board. Venue layout, walls and wireless interference can reduce real-world range, so test your full setup in the performance space before the show.
Which phones, watches and receivers are compatible?+
PITATA Pro is available for iOS and Android. Smart MemoPad supports discreet viewing on Apple Watch and can connect with iPhone or Palm Peeker. Smart Chalkboard works with PITATA App, PITATA Pro and Palm Peeker/Pro. Smart Clipboard supports PITATA’s recognition, voice-broadcast and IoT features. Wooden Board works with PITATA Pro and includes its own Peeker Board. Compatible impressions can also sync with selected PITATA products including Time Hacker, PITATA Watch, Pocket Watch and Smart Printer.
What warranty and support are included?+
Smart MemoPad, Smart WhiteBoard, Smart Clipboard and Smart Chalkboard include a one-year manufacturer’s warranty. PITATA publishes a two-year warranty for Wooden Board. During the applicable warranty period, PITATA provides parts and labor for covered repairs; the customer pays return shipping. Items that arrive damaged or defective are eligible for exchange. Extended service is available for up to five years, with labor covered and parts and shipping chargeable.
